THE OWLERY
Under the Rain shadow of the Pacific Northwest on an Island somewhere...In a sunny outdoor studio, and deep in the dark of night, Janie Cribbs has been creating an ongoing, many years-long series of Owl paintings, created mostly with acrylic paint on found beach wood. With strikingly human expressions and a quiet Magic animating each piece, we can feel a connection between Nature and Humanity that is comforting and effortlessly playful. Janie describes her Owlery series as an unending life's work that serves to connect and contact the other-worldly Spirit of the Owl, who is part seer and part mirror of human joys and foibles.
